Michael Kutch, a 32-year-old illustrator, famous in the world of 3d-animation thanks to the film "Alice in Wonderland" filmmaker Tim Burton. He worked on the design of unique characters, each of whom was able to make a special

Michael began to draw even at the age of four years. Even then there was "born" love of art. With teenage guy took seriously improve their skills and expand knowledge.
At school, where he studied Kutch constantly held classes in drawing, so he did not attend art school. Perhaps this is one reason that the self-taught artist creates an unusual picture, not the limited scope for creative freedom.
Michael's father worked as a programmer, although the education was the architect. The advent of the computer at an early age has opened up new possibilities, which also influenced the formation of the young artist.
Already adult, Kutch worked in a small 3d-studio, but she soon went bankrupt. Through the efforts of colleagues created a new studio, where he was offered a job. Michael dabbled in everything: modeling, animation, rigging, lighting settings. Most of its work is carried away from the light, Michael liked to create an atmosphere from which things acquire realism.
After 5 years, he realizes that he wants to work only on concepts and ideas, and quits his job to become a freelance illustrator. Michael lucky, his first customer to become a British company The Creative Assembly, for which he creates a picture - the cover design of the game «Total War».
"In his heart," the artist moved from Frankfurt to Hamburg, a woman who becomes his wife. The journey ends in Berlin, where Michael works for advertising agencies.

Working in the studio, Michael Kutch met with the producer of the film "John Carter of Mars" and after the end of filming of "Alice" in 2008, he moved to Berkeley (CA) to create characters for the new movie. Then on the road again - The place of the shooting of the film "Thor."
Currently Michael Kutch works freelance for DreamWorks Animation. And still he thinks about "great art" - as he shared in an interview.
