United Express passengers who book regional flights using its Wi-Fi-equipped E170 and E175 aircraft can log in to access free streaming movies or TV series. These jets are currently in use, with 120 available. However, all Wi-Fi-equipped aircraft will be ready for service by August 13.

The second round of upgraded entertainment on personal devices follows the launch of United Express' premium cabin experience, which provides freshly prepared meals to passengers who fly at least 800 miles. These meals are served on chinaware, not trays.

United launched a pilot program in which passengers could rent tablets with 8.4-inch screens loaded with movies, games and TV shows. The tablets can be rented on flights between the U.S.A. and Honolulu as well as between Honolulu (Honolulu) and Guam.
