Managing Editor for the Brown Daily Herald

The Brown Daily Herald is an independent student newspaper of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, which provides student publication and online news. It is one of the four student newspapers founded in Rhode Island by the Brown University alumni. The other three are the Providence Journal, the Providence Record and the Student Times. All have won the prestigious fellowship from the Brown University Alumni Association and are published by the Associated Press.

Brown University is a public university that has been conducting research on the human reproductive system for over a century. As part of this long standing history, the Brown Daily Herald has continued to publish important issues related to the reproductive biology of both genders, both human and animal. It has also done extensive research on diseases, sanitation and nutrition. A daily feature on news of the Brown University campus can be found on the website. For undergraduate students who would like to be informed about Brown University's academic activities, the Brown Daily Herald will keep you up to date on news about all academic departments including Psychology, Geology, Earth science, mathematics and of course, anatomy. Other student papers and reading materials available from the website are health and physical sciences, journalism, government and labor relations, and religious studies.

The Brown Daily Herald was started in 1890 as a weekly paper and has been continuously running for over one hundred years. It is owned by the Providence Journal Company and is still run as a completely independent daily newspaper. The first issue was devoted to a report about the first Harvard student to earn his degree from Brown University, namely Benjamin Franklin. Issues have featured numerous other notable people, including Rhode Island governor John Adams, American revolutionary hero Thomas Jefferson, and the first President of the United States of America, George Washington. There have also been multiple biographies and articles on some of Brown's alumni, which are featured on the daily newspaper.

The Providence Journal, which is owned by the Rhode Island School of Business and is known today as The Providence Journal, is a weekly student newspaper that also functions as a small version of the Brown Daily Herald. Like the Brown Daily Herald, the Providence Journal was started in an effort to provide independent information on academic and topical subjects of interest to students and faculty at the University of Rhode Island. The only difference between the Rhode Island school's student newspaper and the Brown Daily Herald is that the latter is a better source of news and other information related to the academic year at Brown University.

In the recent past, both the Brown Daily Herald and the Providence Journal had produced high quality content for students, scholars and professors to rely on each day. One feature that the both publications have had in common over the years is an editor-in-chief, who serves as the primary mouthpiece for the opinions and viewpoints of the paper. Though a student may be a little more likely to read the Brown Daily Herald every day, they are still able to rely on the editor-in-chief for important announcements. The editor-in-chief will always make sure that the paper remains on the trend, that the tone it expresses understands the goals of the institution and are in line with what the faculty, students and other campus interests believe in. The Brown Daily Herald has been known to take a stance on controversial topics that many other publications would not take.

The editor-in-chief and the other members of the editorial board have the duty of assuring that the paper remains completely above board and does not allow a controversial issue to overshadow what should be considered as routine news. All students, scholars, and employees have the right to question anything regarding the Brown Daily Herald, either with the help of the phone book or the Internet, but the editorial board and its members have the final decision power when it comes to handling any issues that come up regarding the paper. Allowing the students, staff and faculty to get involved in the decision making process has made the Brown Daily Herald one of the most reputable and credible newspapers in all of the United States. And that is why the editorial board and the management have stood firm in their decision to keep the paper completely free of controversy.
